It takes around 1.5 hours to reach Shanti Stupa from Leh. There are basically two ways to reach there; one is via road and other is via village. It is highly recommended to take the route via village because the view is more beautiful as you go through the village. As you wander in the market of Leh, you can easily spot Shanti Stupa gloriously sitting on the hilltop from there.
Shanti Stupa is known for significance to promote peace and prosperity and to commemorate its 2500 years of Buddhism. It is a symbol of the ties between the people of Ladakh and Japan. It is built in such a way that it catches the perfect view of Sunset and Sunrise.
